It was through the actions of volunteers that Lambton Elderly Outreach was first started. It is through the unselfish dedication of its volunteers, along with the support of its Board Members and Staff that Lambton Elderly Outreach has evolved, over the past forty-three years, to become a leader in Community Services for Seniors and Adults with Disabilities. Here is how we have grown over the years:
1970:
Lambton Elderly Outreach found its roots in 1970 with a Meals on Wheels service operated through the kitchens of volunteers
1975:
Lambton Elderly Outreach was a feeder project entitled "Total Needs of the Elderly in Lambton County"
1980:
Lambton Elderly Outreach was incorporated on June 5, 1980
1986:
Lambton Elderly Outreach started a Helping Hands for the Handicapped (3H*) Program
1987-1991:
Satellite offices were established in Corunna, Forest and Grand Bend
2002:
The main office was relocated from Petrolia to the current location in Wyoming at Reeces Corners
2008:
Lambton Elderly Outreach integrated staff and services with Senior VIP. The office space of Senior VIP in Sarnia remained open to clients and staff as a satellite office
