Lambton Elderly Outreach Announces New CEO

As Lambton Elderly Outreach (LEO) embarks on a new era of healthcare planning and service delivery, along with our Ontario Health Team (OHT) partners, we are pleased to announce that Paula Reaume-Zimmer has accepted the position of CEO at LEO.

Reaume-Zimmer has a wide range of leadership experience in both acute care and community healthcare. She is recognized as a passionate healthcare leader who has established an important network in Sarnia-Lambton that will assist in the future growth and opportunity that lie ahead for LEO.

Reaume-Zimmer will continue her role as Integrated Vice-President of Mental Health & Addictions at Bluewater Health and Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton-Kent (CMHA LK), with a new model that will allow for her to transition her time and attention to the leadership needs at LEO.

“We are excited to have Paula join the Lambton Elderly Outreach team, and we look forward to seeing the benefits this integrated role can bring to LEO, our clients and the community,” said April Williams, LEO Board Chair.

Along with her 20 years of leadership experience, Reaume-Zimmer has earned a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration. “We are confident that she brings the knowledge, skills and commitment to the Sarnia-Lambton community, which will lead LEO in advancing our vision To provide excellent support services to the community we serve,” added Williams.

“I have so much respect for the care that our community teams are providing, and appreciate the challenges they are faced with. I look forward to becoming involved in an organization that is dedicated to ensuring individuals can remain at home safely, and as long as possible. For the last seven years, I’ve seen the patient benefits of an integrated leadership model that is focused on improving transitions of care, and will continue with this effort as the CEO of LEO,” said Reaume-Zimmer.

“CMHA Lambton-Kent is excited about the opportunity to build on our existing partnership with Bluewater Health, and our already excellent relationship with Lambton Elderly Outreach. Together our three organizations will create a more client-centered approach to care in the community,” said Alan Stevenson, CEO, CMHA LK.

“LEO’s services nicely complement those of Bluewater Health, and this integrated leadership model will only improve the experience of our patients and families. We are extremely excited about the possibilities of this new model,” said Mike Lapaine, President & CEO, Bluewater Health.

Testimonial

"About 10 years ago, my arthritis began interfering with my daily life. I was having trouble keeping up my home and did not know where to turn. My husband and I realized we would have to make the decision to either ask for help or possibly move. After contacting Lambton Elderly Outreach, I was amazed by the help they provided me with. I have had my homemaker for 10 years and I could not be anymore satisfied with the service. I am thankful for Lambton Elderly Outreach because without their help, I would not be able to live in my home."
